The French Embassy Finland will assist the BSAS initiative in ensuring the participation of relevant French experts, whether high-level government or private sector representatives, in all actions which the BSAG considers useful. In particular, the Embassy will provide participants for the BSAS plenaries. It will further accompany the future BSAG actions in the same way, using the Embassy’s network and, when possible, contributing to the experts’ participation, in order to reinforce the public concern for Baltic Sea issues.

Objective of commitment and its impact on the Baltic Sea (temporary, permanent, etc)

The objective is to reaffirm France’s concern for the Baltic Sea issues and implement operative actions using France’s know-how, e.g. on sea issues and clean-up techniques.

What is needed for the commitment to be successful? (one-time action, continuous support or/and financing, support for a certain time period)

The French Embassy Finland is willing to work with BSAG on a regular and cooperative basis, so that efficient and continuous dialog is an essential condition.
