Almost all 124 companies involved can be found as “fish guests” at our “Nutrient-poor Christmas table” at http://www.joululahjaitamerelle.fi/. Companies had the possibility of remembering their clients and partners with electronic Season’s Greetings and using campaign banners in their communications.
“Donations can be seen as part of the development where corporate responsibility is gaining importance. Companies and clients see value in the donating for common good instead of sending gifts for clients.” says Mathias Bergman, Secretary General of BSAG.
“We are pleased that 124 companies donated to Baltic Sea this Christmas and each took the message further to their clients and partners”, he continues.
“Nutrients essential in food production are injurious in the Sea. The donations are used for getting the nutrients recycled back to use in food production, and kept from leaking to the Baltic Sea.” Bergman explains. “Piloting processes and technologies to recycle the nutrients in agriculture in South-Western Finland. The piloting in the catchment area of severely BSAG has long striven for suffering Archipelago Sea starts this year” Bergman states.
