BSAG is looking for an information officer

BSAG is looking for an information officer for a fixed term position for the agro-environmental project Baltic Compass.
Baltic Compass is a EU financed project that promotes sustainable agriculture in the Baltic Sea Region. Baltic Compass aims to find ways for the agricultural sector to produce the daily food required by the region’s 90 million inhabitants and at the same time preserve the Baltic Sea.
BSAG is responsible for the project’s communication. The target area is the whole Baltic Sea region and the main communication channels are project’s website and newsletters.
Information officer will work as a member of a small communications team. The main tasks will be acquiring and editing information coming from the project partnership. Project partners represent all the riparian countries and thus the working language is English.
We expect the applicant to have:
– academic education in agricultural or environmental sciences
– fluency in English
– experience with communications
– experience with text production and/or content editing
– inititative and responsibleness.
The position is a full time work and it lasts to the end of the project, 16th of December, 2012. The working location is Helsinki. The task involves moderate amount of travelling.
