Anna Klemelä

,

Anna Klemelä’s work for BSAG includes a broad range of communications and fundraising tasks. Anna is also a project manager for the Living Baltic Sea project, which promotes the preservation of marine biodiversity.

“When attempting to solve crises like climate change and biodiversity loss, you must change the man-made system that created these problems. In addition to activities that are destructive to nature, the current system also maintains social and economic inequalities. In my opinion, working in the best interests of nature is also intrinsically linked to the realisation of social justice.”

Anna has a bachelor’s degree in environmental change and politics and is currently pursuing a master’s degree in Environmental Change and Global Sustainability at the University of Helsinki alongside her work. Anna has also studied marine biology, communications and gender studies.

She likes books, yoga, nature, animals and art exhibitions.
