GIVE LIFE TO THE BALTIC SEA

We need you to join us in saving the Baltic Sea. Together, we can identify the causes of the Baltic Sea’s problems and develop practical solutions. We will turn every euro donated to us into three euros for the Baltic Sea. There are many ways you can help.

We promise to do everything in our power to change things for the better before it’s too late. We want to save the Baltic Sea while mitigating climate change and biodiversity loss.

EVERY DONATION COUNTS

AT SEA

Our persistent advocacy paid off when Finland became the first Baltic Sea country to ban the discharge of sewage from cargo ships into its territorial waters, starting in July 2025. We are now working toward a ban covering the entire Baltic Sea.

UNDERWATER

The underwater nature of Gullkrona and Stora Fagerö is now protected through private conservation areas established at our initiative. Thanks to our efforts, over 5,000 hectares of valuable marine habitat have already been safeguarded. We are currently negotiating the protection of an additional 22,000 hectares.

ON LAND

We introduced regenerative agriculture to Finland to make food production more environmentally sustainable. Thousands of farmers, hundreds of researchers, and leading food industry companies are participating in our Carbon Action collaboration to accelerate the transition to sustainable food systems.

IN THE FOREST

Our work to protect the Baltic Sea on land has expanded beyond agricultural fields to include forests. We aim to reduce nutrient runoff from forestry, which research has shown to be more significant than previously assumed. For example, we develop educational materials for forestry and excavator operators.
