Sinebrychoff – part of the Carlsberg Group – is the leading manufacturer of beers, ciders, soft drinks and energy drinks in Finland. The production of Sinebrychoff’s products is highly dependent on a stable flow of raw materials sourced directly from nature: water from Lake Päijänne and barley for its beer production from Finnish farmers. Sinebrychoff appreciates the importance of a healthy and clean environment and water and is committed to develop its malt barley procurement and its production in a way which improves the ecological balance of the Baltic Sea.

1. Sinebrychoff will together with its main barley supplier and contract farmers improve the through developing and implementing an audit system that helps farmers to further develop their working methods. Audit includes development areas like: Improving soil condition through better water management, reducing risk of nutrient losses on the farm and crop rotation.

2. Sinebrychoff is committed to further improve Kerava plant´s operations in the following areas:
o reducing the amount of used water per hectolitre of product produced,
o recovering Carbon dioxide from the production and
o developing cleaning processes.

3. Sinebrychoff also supports BSAG`s Baltic Sea work with 15 000 eur/commitment year.
