Changes in the management of BSAG

News

Roles will be changed in the management of the agile BSAG Foundation. Michaela Ramm-Schmidt, CEO of the Foundation, who has been with the Foundation for three years, will reduce her workload from early 2022 and will become a leading expert on a part-time contract. Laura Höijer, the content director who has worked as Ramm-Schmidt’s co-director, will take over as CEO. Pieta Jarva, the foundation’s long-term communications director, will take over the position of strategy director and she will work as the CEO’s co-leader. The Foundation is now recruiting a new communications director.

“BSAG has always had the focus on solutions, and it is a work community that encourages each other. I am extremely proud of what we have done together at the Foundation and glad to be able to continue working for the Baltic Sea. I feel that I still have a lot to give to the foundation, even though I am reducing my workload to enable other things in my life”, says Michaela Ramm-Schmidt.

“Michaela has done a tremendous job of systematizing the administration of BSAG. She has been able to create a balance in the middle of the corona crisis all the while as the Foundation has grown significantly. It is good to build on such a foundation”, says Laura Höijer. “At BSAG, we also definitely wanted to continue the operational policy of the shared leadership, which has worked excellently for us. Having Pieta as a co-leader is natural because the three of us have spent a lot of time together working on strategies for BSAG during the years”, Höijer says.

“The change feels natural, as we all will continue to work together, the roles just change and the tasks are rotated. In addition, this will make it possible to further increase the Foundation’s communication ability”, says Pieta Jarva.

The changes will take place on the 1st of March 2022.
