Foreign reporters informed on Carbon Action

Climate change and carbon sequestration were two of the main topics on the agenda of a group of international reporters visiting Finland for The Finnish EU Presidency 2019 on Friday June 28. In the morning the reporters were given a presentation on climate change solutions by Research Professor Jari Liski from the Finnish Meteorological Institute. Jari Liski is responsible for the research part of Carbon Action. An afternoon tour of Qvidja estate where some of the Carbon Action research is carried out was also on the agenda. Qvidja is a test farm on regenerative agriculture and a field site for several interdiscliplinary research projects, located in Parainen.

The visits, organized by the Government Communications, reflect the priorities of the Presidency programme and the priorities of the Finnish government programme, which highlight climate change.
