A new network for building the future of forestry
The forestry sector is facing new challenges in the 2020s. Due to climate change, extreme weather events are intensifying, and the risks and costs caused by droughts and floods are increasing. Forest soils have changed significantly as a result of extensive drainage. In the future, droughts will pose a major threat to forest growth. The decline in biodiversity affects forest health and their economic use.
Everyone interested in the future of forestry and more sustainable forest management are welcome to join BSAG’s Forest Network. The aim is to develop the forestry sector in a direction that combines economic, social, and environmental sustainability. At the same time, we reduce the impact of forestry on water bodies.
The Forest Network enhances the exchange of knowledge and experiences among researchers, forest owners, forestry companies, educational institutions, and forestry professionals. By establishing the network, BSAG aims to encourage and support the entire forestry sector toward more sustainable and climate-resilient forest use.
The Forest Network brings together those interested in the future of forests
The network serves as a shared channel for knowledge sharing, peer learning, and development. Together, we share information about research and best practices. Mutual interaction and listening to diverse needs are central to the network’s activities.
Our goal is to create new connections and bridge the gap between forest owners, forestry professionals, and researchers.
The network was established at the end of 2025. The Network will be gradually launched in the coming years. In 2026, we will organize events and webinars and share information through a newsletter. The network is built in interaction with its members. By joining, you can influence what the network will look like in the future.
Membership in the network is free of charge.
Success requires collaboration. The greatest impact is achieved when the entire supply chain is committed to reducing impacts on water bodies, and operations are planned accordingly.

We organize interesting events, webinars, and training sessions for Forest Network members on current topics. Exchange ideas with others, learn new things, and discover new perspectives. (Our events are held mainly in Finnish)
